Yirgacheffe Yards

If you want to go to the heart of Ethiopian coffee, go to Yirgacheffe. As well as being a town in southern Ethiopia 400km south of the capital Addis Ababa, Yirgacheffe has become synonymous with Ethiopia’s world-class coffee grown at high altitudes and celebrated by connoisseurs as one of the most distinct “single-origin” locations for producing specialty coffee.

And just as athletes require hard training to succeed, a lot of hard work goes into the production of much of the great coffee produced in Ethiopia: countless labourers from pruners to pickers, sorters to processors, have put in the hard yards to bring you this coffee.
